San Tai official press release

For immediate release

Saturday night at L’International des Feux Loto-Québec presented by TELUS:
A show about respecting the environment, with innovative biodegradable fireworks!

Montreal, Thursday, June 17, 2010—One of the largest Taiwanese producers of fireworks is coming to La Ronde Saturday to raise public awareness about the environment and will be using biodegradable components in its fireworks to put its message into action.

San Tai Pyrotechnics is taking advantage of its participation in L’International des Feux Loto-Québec presented by TELUS to publicize that it will be using innovative components. The shells of some of the pyrotechnical devices are being made of recycled paper and cornstarch so that they break down in the rain and are absorbed into the earth where they fall and act as fertilizer. San Tai is also reaffirming its willingness to keep working on developing products that are environmentally-friendly.

Last year, La Ronde announced the addition of a special mention award from L’International management for the participant that distinguishes itself through its environmental initiatives and the development of green technologies. The Australian company Foti International won the first such award.

The first time it was in Montreal (2001), San Tai won the Bronze Jupiter for Taiwan.

Designed specifically around the music of the film Avatar, Céline Dion and the late Michael Jackson, the various displays of the “D’accord” show will quickly transport spectators from the dawn of time to the Last Judgment and then awakening and rebirth, San Tai designers promise. The audience will also hear an excerpt with Tibetan singing bowls, a very special sound that Tibetan monks especially appreciate for its peacefulness. Images of fish, cats and even Dora the Explorer (a first!) will be recreated using fireworks.

Internet visitors will find an excerpt of an interview with a San Tai representative on the website (http://www.internationaldesfeuxlotoquebec.com/en/default.aspx). The names of the musical pieces that will play at La Ronde are also available there.
