Surex is planning its biggest show ever for fans at La Ronde
Poland competes for the very first time at L’International des Feux Loto-Québec presented by TELUS
Montréal, Wednesday, June 23, 2010 – On Saturday, Poland will take part in the competition for the first time ever at L’International des Feux Loto-Québec presented by TELUS. And it is Surex that has been entrusted with the task of representing Chopin’s homeland in the bicentennial of the birth of the country’s most renowned composer.
In honour of the great artist, a selection from Chopin’s works will open the performance, titled “Believe.” This sound-and-light journey includes inspiring pieces of music that will impress spectators with its power to stir up strong emotion, according to the show’s designer, Jaroslaw Suzdalewicz. Featured on the soundtrack are Céline Dion, Garou, and Bryan Adams, all of whom have been very successful in Lech Walesa’s country.
While it has never taken part in the competition in Montréal, Surex is no newcomer on the scene: the company has been around for 15 years. It has won prestigious prizes in Leipzig, Blanes, and Madeira as well as the public’s choice prize at Festival d’art pyrotechnique de Cannes, in 2009. Now Surex has set its sights on the most prestigious prize of all – Montréal’s Gold Jupiter – with its most ambitious and spectacular show ever!
Fans can check up on the latest “Fireworks Confessions” online at www.internationaldesfeuxlotoquebec.com. The site also includes the 13 musical selections from the show’s soundtrack.
