It seems that Hong Kong entrant will not stay on the simple path... Of course, since its title is "Born to be Wild"!

I just found rare story boards on their FB page, showing a fifth ramp, as well as unusual floating platforms between ramps 2 and 3.

Story boards are often used in shows but I've never seen ones as detailed as that! I like that they are straying away from "keeping it simple". Those daffodil cakes look interesting!

Are these 360-degree, circular cakes of comets? I don't remember having seen this before...

My guess: one on each segment of the fifth ramp, creating a giant ballet over the lake!

I can't wait for more info from Paul's and Mylène's interviews!

These circular batteries of one-shots are quite popular at competitions in Europe these days - Scarpato used them in their great display in Malta last year ... and our friend Pyrotechnico used them at their recent fireworks festival too!

I'll try and get the Merlin report up ASAP and the Vulcan interview too.

Certainly an interesting concept employed for this display! Like Fred, I anxiously await for more information!

I saw that on vulcans page too. Very interesting to see that they'll be using a few of these modular cakes. I am a bit intrigues if each rows will fire with just one squib or with one squib attached to each effect like how scarpato does it. It will be a much different effect if they are using it sideways creating a 3d image instead of the ring facing the audience.
