Paul, are we going to experience another flight of "pyro-copters" as we did with the Swiss display in 2012 or is that for filming purpose?

Very interesting interview and great pictures which fuel anticipation! That was definitely not an interview you want to do at the hotel!

I think the quadrocoptor is for filming. I confirmed with Paul and Martyne yesterday that there were people filming from on top of Ednor and they told me that various other "GoPro" cameras had been placed around the site. Whether we ever will get to see the images from these remains to be seen. The official website doesn't appear to be posting either photos or videos this year, nor was there even a press release announcing the winners last year. Neither does the public photo contest appear to be running this year, though there is still a page on their website.

Tomorrow's display definitely looks very promising, though there will not be any nautical products used.

This is another display that I had been particularly looking forward to for this season, and from the interview conducted by Paul, this performance does most certainly seem to show signs of being exciting. The theme is also very, very inviting. Perhaps my expectations will be (more than) fulfilled! Out of curiosity, was there any word on the finale? I'm sure that we can expect an Italian-style/90s-style conclusion!

The weather also appears to be cooperating for this highly anticipated display and may provide the most inherently "perfect" conditions of the season, as the wind direction favors all major vantage points.

No, there was no word on that - but the music implies quite a dramatic finale I think!

This is definitely a display to witness from La Ronde if possible - or at least as close to the middle and parallel with the firing site as possible. It will not look good from the bridge unfortunately.

Yes, the nature of the music suggests a nice finish. Perhaps the Italians prefer to keep the details pertaining to the finale a secret, which is perfectly fine with me.

Perhaps the Italians prefer to keep the details pertaining to the finale a secret,

To be honest, we were so blown away with all the other statistics about the display we completely forgot to ask any questions about the finale!

No worries. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
