First time at Le Mondial SAQ:

heirs to a 100-year old tradition, the master pyrotechnicians from parente fireworks will make fire dance in the skies over la ronde's lac des dauphins

Montréal, July 4, 2003 - Long awaited in Montréal, the pyrotechnicians of the reputed Italian company, Parente Fireworks, make their first appearance at Le Mondial SAQ on Saturday, July 5, with the powerful pyromusical work, Melody of Fire.

"Our presentation has been conceived in its entirety for the infrastructures at La Ronde. Throughout Melody of Fire, we will make fire dance in the sky and present an impressive repertoire of pyrotechnical effects to the Montréal audience. With a great variety of pyrotechnical pieces perfectly synchronized to our musical soundtrack, we will present a captivating show that rises to the crescendo of our grandiose Italian finale," explained Claudio Parente, company President and creator of the Montréal presentation.

In addition to producing numerous fireworks shows around the world, Parente Fireworks is a large manufacturer and one of the largest exporters of pyrotechnics in Italy. The company mainly exports its products to Europe and Canada, and specialises in the fabrication of typically Italian pyrotechnical pieces such as Italian candles, multi-burst bombs, Kamuro spherical bombs and the famous Stutata cylindrical mosaic bombs. Of course, Montrealers will be able to marvel at the talents of these master artisans at the July 5 show. About 20% of the pieces that will be used have been created specifically for this majestic presentation.

Parente Fireworks will use top quality equipment, most particularly a wireless radio trigger system, the Firemaster II Plus, which is also distributed internationally.

Father-son pyrotechnicians for more than 100 years, Parente Fireworks is world renowned for their high quality pyrotechnical presentations and their multiple international awards, including the audience prize at the Nuits de Feux in Chantilly, France, in 2002, a first place at the Grands Feux Loto-Québec in Québec City, as well as at the Grand Feux du Casino du Lac-Leamy in Hull in 1999.
