Tableaux presentation
Postcards from Hong Kong

Every song represents a postcard sent home by a visitor discovering "Asia's World City".

Track 1, Contadanza:
The arrival at Chek Lap Kok airport, one of the most modern airports in the world. Coming off a 20 hours flight, the visitor feels a little bit disoriented at first.

Track 2, Tocatta:
After a 20 minute ride on the "Airport Express" high speed train, the visitor finally reaches Central Hong Kong and gets his first taste of this vibrant city. The crowds on the sidewalks and their rapid pace are the first things that surprise him.

Track 3, Once Upon a Time in China:
Getting to know Hong Kong people. Living in this ultra-modern world city are people that are proud of their traditions and heritage.

Track 4, Shenfa:
Walking through Kowloon Park on a Sunday morning. Everywhere he looks, he sees people practicing the ancient art of Tai Chi.

Track 5, Feng Yang Drums: Side trip to Lantau Island and the Po Lin monastery, where he beholds the largest seated Buddha statue in the world.

Track 6, Terre Aride: Mong Kok district at night. With its night markets and outdoor restaurants, this is the place to encounter for a truly exotic experience.

Track 7, The morning Fog's wave: The Mid-Autumn lantern Festival. The city comes alive with thousands of colored lanterns hanging from every window and streetlight.

Track 8, Happy Valley: Site of the 1997 retrocession of Hong Kong to China. After almost 100 years of British colonial rule, Hong Kong goes back to it's motherland under the "one nation-two systems" rule. This song was written especially for this occasion.
