Posted: Sep 23, 2004 17:59:44 i have tried to produce some colored-smoke, and worked out the following one for yellow: Potassium 25% Sulphur 16% Orpiment or called Realgar 59% They worked yellow color, but i don't like it very much, anybody have the way to produce purplish or the similar color? Posted: Sep 24, 2004 05:07:39 Sun, this forum is not really the place to ask these technical questions. The formula you present above is extremely dangerous and toxic as it contains an arsenic compound. I suggest that you need to invest in some modern text books and do some reading. You will then discover that smoke compositions use a formula that burns at a low temperature and uses an organic dye to produce the smoke. Cheers, Paul. |
