Posted: Aug 12, 2010 08:47:17 Yesterday, the pyromusical competition held in Quebec City came to a close. The Spanish contestant, Pirotécnia Igual, won the prize. In Gatineau, the international competition began last Saturday with Macedos Pirotécnia. Interestingly, the American entrant is Sunny International. I believe that Sunny has an important office in the USA, but this company has always represented China in Montreal... http://www.feux.qc.ca/calendrier-des-competitions.html Fred |

Posted: Aug 12, 2010 08:56:29 Sunny did an excellent show in Gatineau last night under perfect sky conditions in front of a crowd of around 20,000 people. Great range of products and a very nicely designed show. The venue is quite different to Montreal but the shows there are always enjoyable and the hospitality of the organizers, with particular thanks to Alain Carbonneau, is always top-rate. For last night's display the US Ambassador to Canada was present as well as the leader of the NDP, Jack Layton. Based on previous winning displays I've witnessed over the years there, Sunny must have a very good chance of securing 1st place on the podium. Paul |
