In addition to the awards, there's another great news tonight. I was told by some officials that Six Flags and Loto-Québec has recently extended the sponsorship contract for three more years. According to these sources, that means that the future of the competition is secured at least until 2014. The Montreal International Fireworks Competition should complete its third decade!

Will Pirotecnia Morsani, and other Gold Jupiter winners since 2005, be invited to compete for a second Platinum Jupiter in 2014?

This is wonderful news, Fred! Over the course of the next three years, it is also possible that a decision may be made to further extend the contract beyond 2014 - at the very least, this is wishful thinking on my part. Without the presence of this prestigious competiton, Summer would easily be dull for me!

Most assuredly, it would be quite interesting if the platinum Jupiter were to return in the year 2014.
