A 22-year-old man is in hospital Sunday after falling off the Jacques-Cartier bridge Saturday night. He fell after watching the fireworks display held at La Ronde.

He fell into the water but was quickly rescued, and should recover. Provincial police say they still don't know where - or how - he fell off. It may have been some sort of prank or an accident.

They plan to meet with the victim, and bridge officials, next week.

I'm really not surprised. When I used to watch from the bridge, people would jump from one side to another because there's a "hole" in between. You can actually see the river.

I knew this was going to happen one day.

I guess. I thought he had a heart attack after the show!
