He fell after watching the fireworks display held at La Ronde. He fell into the water but was quickly rescued, and should recover. Provincial police say they still don't know where - or how - he fell off. It may have been some sort of prank or an accident. When I used to watch from the bridge, people would jump from one side to another because there's a "hole" in between. You can actually see the river. I knew this was going to happen one day.
