it usally shows up at CTV

just to say, every single time they show that, i get that feeling as if its a fireworks night, i dunno how to say, but whenever i listen to that song it remind of the fireworks lmao and then i start to sing

Oh, you mean that phone commercial with the lizard or iguana! Yeah, I know it. I remember them playing that song, The Chariots of Fire. I just saw it recently.

Did you see or hear about the David Copperfield show on August 15th? They played that song as well there when he did a trick in slow motion. I should have asked him to make fireworks appear, lol! Anyway, when they played that song at the show when I was there, it did take me back to the Mondial SAQ and it made me look foward to next year's competition!

Tell me something, Enkil.

I was wondering if you know if they keep the same soundtracks before the countdown every year. It's the soundtrack before the fireworks.

Yes, that would be great!

To tell you the truth, you know the Argentina video clip? Well, the first time I watched it, my mom heard the music for the clip and she loved it and asked me to play it again! I told her, didn't you remember when they played that song at the beginning of the display that day? lol! I don't know about you, but, I found that song went well with the fireworks. That's what I thought when I watched the Argentinian display at the competition.

Anyway, my mom and I both love that song, "The Conquest of Paradise" by Vangelis, especially my mom. She also loves "The Chariots of Fire." I like it too. That song was played for my aunt's weddding and like I said before, at that David Copperfield show I saw on August 15th.

Aren't "The Chariots of Fire" and "Conquest of Paradise" two of the songs that are played before the actual fireworks displays? I think they are. I hope it's back next year!

BTW, how many times have you watched that La Ronde ending? I watch it at least twice a day!

If you read that new topic I posted yesterday, I described what I like in an ending.

Don't worry about it, Enkil.

School is a drag, I know.

Aren't you graduating this year?

I go to John Abbott College now, so I have a lot of time off! I have every Friday off and my Christmas break is absurdly long....42 days long, and I finish school in early May!!! However, there is very hard work involved, I get great deals of work everyday!! I'm always working around the clock. So, it's well deserved, I guess.

Don't worry, Enkil, you'll have that time off next year!

Anyway, hopefully school will go by quickly for both of us and we can look foward to next year's competition! From what I hear so far, it's going to be a blast! That rumour Paul told us about, is still purking me up! It's going to be the 20th anniversary of the competition since 1985, so I think we're in for a possible huge surprise next year! Definetly something to look foward to!

As for "Conquest of Paradise", I thought it was a soundtrack played before the fireworks. I thought I remember Paul saying something about it in the:"Song Played Before the Fireworks" section, but oh well...That's ok.

Is the Chariots of Fire, a soundtrack played before the fireworks?

BTW, I'll probably be adding some things to my new topic: "Great Fireworks Endings????"

I think it will be pretty cool to talk about endings and big time finales!

Yes, you're right. I didn't like high school all that much, anyways. Sometimes I miss it, though. Then again, sometimes I don't.

Only one year to go for you!

Oh yeah, tomorrow is September 11th I completely forgot! Anyway, I don't want to get off topic here, back to fireworks!

I hope Spain is truly back next year! I've waited a long 2 years since they were here in 2001!

I'm sure they will be back next year for the competition's 20th birthday!

Tell your mom that I'm a Spain fan, too! lol!

Yeah, today I had a 1 minute of silence incedent at my school. It was sad to remember......

Anyway, besides that, I have a strong feeling that Spain might make an appearance next year, and if the rumour Paul told us about is true, then we will be in for a surprise, indeed!!

BTW, Enkil, is it ok if I can have your E-Mail address? Just in case of anything that happens to this site, I can contact you. I asked Paul for his, you can find it in the links section and he gave me another one, which you can find in "Virtual Conquest."

Here's my E-Mail: travis2@videotron.ca

Thanks a lot!

Okay, thanks a lot, Enkil!

The E-Mail address I gave you is my main one, so this is the one you can always use to contact me.

Remember, feel free to E-Mail me a any time!

Oh yeah, I was thinking, about the video clips....Do you think we will be able to download pieces of next year's competition's displays, including the Panzera finale? That would be so cool, if you could do that every year, so this way, you have a collection of different years of fireworks.

Don't forget to check out my "Endings topic!" I'll probably be putting some new things in there, so you'll probably see some new stuff there later on, if I have time

BTW, I still wish you could watch the video clips more often....But, like you, I don't have all that kind of time anymore, I'm so busy with school and bombarded with homework! I can only watch it a lot on weekends, when I can. I still try to watch the La Ronde ending at least twice a day though, it really cheers me up sometimes!

Once again, thanks a lot for the E-Mail address! I appreciate it!

Oh yeah, thx for your E-Mail address, too, Paul!
