I will be presenting a paper entitled "Pyromusicals 101 - 11 Seasons Reporting on the Montreal International Fireworks Competition" at the 7th International Symposium on Fireworks, being held in Valencia between the 6th and 10th October. More details of the Symposium can be found at http://www.isfireworks.com

I will put a copy of my paper on this site after the Symposium is over.

Paul,

That is quite an honour. I have a few friends/colleagues that are making there way over to Spain for the Symposium. I was considering going, but I went to the PGI Convention instead this year.

Good luck, and I look forward to reading your paper.

Wow, that must be something, eh Paul?

I wish I could go, but that is absolutely impossible for me to get there! I'm far too busy, especially school and all................I can only dream! I have a strong feeling you're going to be in for a treat, Paul!!! I mean, that's SPAIN, for crying out loud, so it will be a blast!

Yes, you must be honoured to go there, to Valencia. It's beautiful there and I have many friends who went there and said it was very nice!

So, anyway, I look foward to your paper!

Regards,

Trav.

After the Symposium is over, I will put a copy of my paper up on this website. Of course, I will do my best to report on Martyne and Paul's paper, and any other things of interest to people here, including any scoops! There will certainly be some interesting displays - particularly the daytime mascleta.

Yes indeed! Fill us in on the scoops!

I can't wait to read your paper!

One question, will you be posting some pictures of the fireworks at the Symposium in Valencia? That would be great, if we can see some shots!

Anyways, keep up the good work, Paul!

Cheers,

Trav.

I was thinking about taking some photos. There are going to be displays every night of the Symposium so it should be great. Here's a list of the displays that are scheduled:

http://www.isfireworks.com/isfireworks/schedule_of_events.htm

On the last day we get three displays: a Mascletá at 2pm, then a display in the evening followed by another Mascletá!

I'll see if I can take some photos, but I would like to just enjoy the displays too - so I'm not sure if I'll be writing any reports or not; we'll see!

Cheers,

Paul.

I think you MUST be excited!

I also think that maybe you should just sit back and relax and enjoy the displays of the Symposium, and if you want, you can take a couple of shots!

I think there is plenty of time to write reports during the Mondial SAQ! lol! So, just enjoy!

BTW, have you heard any more rumours about next year's competition, for the Mondial SAQ 2004?

If you have, fill me in!!!

Regards,

Trav.
