Posted: Aug 4, 2008 14:56:25 I have the final set of photos from the competition uploaded now. Bob and Steve were able to avoid most of the smoke. Rachel and a friend of Mylene's were also able to capture the cube shells that Sunny are famous for: see http://montreal-fireworks.com/cgi-bin/photogen.cgi?Pics2008/Rachel/chi na30d0808024715.jpg,800,533 and http://montreal-fireworks.com/cgi-bin/photogen.cgi?Pics2008/Marriott/I MG_1685.JPG,720,480 Thanks to all the photographers for their tireless work this season - once again confirming this site's reputation for the best collection of fireworks photographs anywhere on the internet! Paul. |

Posted: Aug 7, 2008 17:00:20 Thanks Paul - this year was a year where you needed courage and needed to be persistent despite the rain rain rain that clouded every fireworks evening YOu can also see some of my China shots here: http://www.pbase.com/rachelita/china2008 I just noticed that I forgot to leave a message here - there was indeed a lot of smoke, my least pleasant show to shoot, unfortunately - thank God I was able to see Paul's video and really appreciate the show from a different point of view. |
