You wanna see smoke? well there was a lot and it smelled really bad and was very difficult for my poor fragile lungs - I am a chronic asthmatic - even my friend had difficulty breathing that night and says he is going to wear a mask next time - the sacrifices we have to make to ensure that we get some half decent shots of the fireworks hehehe

Anyways, here is my attempt at shooting the fireworks presented by Pains for England:

the photographs aren't bad considering that there was a lot of smoke i like this picture the most http://www.pbase.com/rachelita/image/114472455 it shows how perfectly shaped the shell above is. I love the smell of fireworks smoke

Despite the situation, I'm glad that you were able to get some excellent captures there, Rachel, though I'm sure it must've been a challenge for you to pick out the best ones, given the smoke accumulations! I also particularly liked the one Vander picked out, too, but I additionally have a thing for this one:

As for the smoke, I don't think you'll have to worry about it for this Saturday, but viewers stationed elsewhere might. Continued unsettled weather may have some role, too. We'll keep a track of that.
