As for you wearing a blue Grand Feux Loto-Quebec T-Shirt - I thought pretty much everyone was wearing one. As usual, I'll be there on Saturday so it will my pleasure to meet you there. Paul, just to let you know, you did an error in your France report.
"Groupe F had performed on the Eiffel Tower in 1999" it was in 2000.

To my mind, New Year's Eve is always the year before the year which is incumbent. So, to my mind, it was at the end of 1999 that we saw the new Millenium arrive. Anyway, it was 19:00 on Dec 31st 1999 in Montreal when Groupe F shot their display in France I've updated my report to say New Year's Eve 1999/2000.

Well, either way. If it was done in 1999, by the time 12:00 midnight hit, it will be 2000. But it's appropriate to say that it was preparing for 2000, so, in this case, it was ready in 1999 to honour the year 2000. And yes, it's more suitable to put 1999/2000, so there's no confusion.
