Posted: Jul 27, 2011 02:37:11 Among all suspended structures used in fireworks displays at La Ronde, I think this one is the first rotative. It has potential for many original effects. It looks we are set for an excellent display from the anticipated French contestant. Following Trav's latest posts, my main concern is now the winds which may be too weak... Fred |

Posted: Jul 27, 2011 07:52:26 pssst, it's Jean-Pierre Costes I confused myself because I'd put Jean-Paul Costes in 2004 ... will correct it now Among all suspended structures used in fireworks displays at La Ronde, I think this one is the first rotative. Rocco Vitale sent me this link to Lacroix's winning entry in the 2010 Oman competition: 'Go to 13:06. Wonder if that is the "cyclone"? http://vimeo.com/20085956 ' Paul. |
