Official Results of the 39th Edition of the Montreal International Fireworks Competition
- Gold Jupiter – Lux Factory (France)
- Silver Jupiter – Sugyp (Switzerland)
- Bronze Jupiter – PiroItaly (Italy)
- Soundtrack Award – Lux Factory (France)
- Green Achievement – Sugup (Switzerland)
A somewhat cooler and definitely dry (with no threats of thunderstorms nor rain) evening was the backdrop for the awards ceremony and the jury correctly gave the Gold Jupiter to the clear winner this year. The French team had an almost flawless setup and enjoyed some of the best conditions of the season for their debut in Montreal. The soundtrack award was also well merited. At the end of the awards an announcement was made that the special 40th edition would be running in 2026. The largest audience of the year was present in the grandstands who then got to sit back, one more time, and enjoy the closing display, with the “Swifties” singing along to their favourite hits.
Tribute to Taylor Swift
Designed by Michael Lutz; produced in collaboration with Panzera SRL; FireOne firing with 4000 cues and Finale3D visualizations
This out-of-competition closing display was a tribute to the famous singer Taylor Swift. Michael Lutz, despite admitting to not being a “Swiftie” nor his teenaged daughter, had masterfully mixed the soundtrack which was brilliantly accompanied by dazzling products from the Italian manufacturer, Panzera SRL, who have long been a special associate of the competition. We were treated to a colourful feast that filled the sky and featured a large range of beautiful colours and effects and great use was made of the space. Michael had said that it was his first time attempting a pure Italian-style finale in Montreal as previous his uncle Joe Rozzi had been responsible for this part. Despite his humbleness in the interview, the display concluded with a pure Italian-style finale, to the delight of the audience. A memorable end to a really excellent year of competition.

As always, I’d like the thank the organizers and crew of La Ronde for enabling this event and my participation as your humble reporter.
