Well, the good news is that firecrackers are again legal in Canada - but you will need permission from the local representative of the Explosives Regulatory Division for the event for which you want to use firecrackers at. Once you have this permission, you should be able to buy the firecrackers from any licenced pyrotechnics company in Canada. Your best bet might be one that is already importing products from China, such as
The Fireworks Factory
You can contact the ERD at
http://www.nrcan.gc.ca/mms/explosif/cont/cont_f.htm
Hope this helps!
Paul.

Hi everyone,
We would like to put togetther a small fireworks display on december 31st - for the new year. While fireworks are easy to find around Canada day, I'd like to know where to find some at this time of the year. I live on the Montreal south shore. Thank You !

Visit this site's sponsor: Ampleman. They have a store out on 18th Avenue. Goto

for more info. Alternatively, try BEM. They have a big store out at Coteau du Lac.

Nous devons effectuer un T.P.E sur les dernières innovations en feux d'artifices. Pourrions vous nous aider et nous dire qui contacter s'il-vous-plait;

Short answer, nowhere. Firecrackers are only permitted for specific events, such as Chinese New Year and only can be sold to a licenced fireworks supervisor.
However, there are plenty of consumer fireworks that give a loud aerial bang, they're just not firecrackers.

I'll give the same answer as I did before:
