The debut display of Dancing Fireworks on Saturday, July 14th, is a significant milestone: it is the 300th show presented as part of the Montreal International Fireworks Competition.
On July 4, 1996, Pirotécnia Igual (Spain) did the 100th display. The event has been celebrated with a 1-minute pre-show and the launch of 3000 balloons, as reported the next morning in
La Presse by journalist Georges Lamon. The news report is available on my Twitter account:

In 2006, the closing display “The Mysterious Island,” presented by Panzera on July 29, was the 200th show. It began with 200 salutes. Lances also created the number “200” in the centre of the third ramp.
I wonder how the 300th show will be highlighted by the organizers!
