there are some information about roman candles, hope more people can give me some advices. There can be no doubt that it requires much practice to make really good Roman Candles, and the best ones still made by hand. so many factories play a part in the performance of the candle with result that there is always something to go wrong.
The best tubes are hand rolled and it is quite essential that inside lap of paper is completely stuck down or else the powder will creep down the loose paper, cause a " blow-through" and eject stars like machine-gun bullets.
The quality of the paper of the tube is also quite important. A good quality kraft paper, for example, rolled with good casein glue, provides a tough tube which hardly burns away during the firing of the candle.
The fuse idealy should produce a good show of garden sparks, but this is not necessary, of course, and there is always a tendency to produce too much smoke as would be expected.
So that's a short passage about roman candles, i know it's not complete, so hope you can help me to complete it.
