The website of the Société des attractions touristiques du Québec now indicates the start and end dates of the 35th edition of the competition, as well as the total number of fireworks displays. Thus, eight shows are reportedly scheduled to run from Saturday, June 29th to Saturday, July 27th:

If these dates are correct, the 2019 closing show would be the earliest one since 1998.

Currently, La Ronde website doesn't present any official information.

As usual, that's great detective work Fred! I'm happy that the competition is going to start earlier next year - it felt very late in 2018!

Thank you for sharing this, Fred.

Finally, a June display for the first time in what is going to be five years!

Thanks, once again, Fred!

I have a feeling that the first display will, again, be an opening.

While many items on this La Ronde page replicate the 2018 information, it seems that show #1 will be an off-competition display, once again, this year. "Country #1" is listed for the 2nd show:

I came back from Fallas yesterday and my next pyro-destination could be Montreal again. Havent you heard any news about which companies are in the program this season? Hints, clues, something?

I would say Brezac will be there with the new designer from Alpha, and hopefully Howards and Sons will put on the show we deserved in 2018

Oh yes! Is it official? I think it will be a classic line up with some very good companies.

I would say Hanhwa corp, Luso and Howards are locked.

Not sure about the others

The list of countries is pleasing me A LOT

The “buy tickets” module within La Ronde official website is going through an update process this morning. The calendar confirms the aforementioned list of countries.

The full information about the specific contestants is likely going to be released within the next hours.

The full schedule has not been released yet. I don't expect it during the Easter weekend, so it going to be one of the latest release date, possibly the latest, in the competition history.

Ticket links for gold section seem to be working and show logos are up on ticket buying page. The non-gold sections do appear to be general admission on the seating chart.

Also, the logo for the opening show is up and is a cassette tape with 1985 on it.

Also, the logo for the opening show is up and is a cassette tape with 1985 on it.

It is likely that opening has a “retro” theme: 1985 is the year of the establishment of the competition. However, it is somewhat strange that logo for the closing show is “25”...
