Im so excited for this, looks promising. Im not losing my faith in this competition.

Despite the various challenges, I think we're still going to have a fantastic competition. Of all the places the Omagari Hanabi team could have demonstrated their products, they chose Montreal as they believe it's the most prestigious. I'm just thankful that I live here!

My only concern right now is the laser thing. To me it was a great idea to have a 25 min show, it means same amount of fireworks in less time which is good. 25 min is enough to show your pyromusical skills specially considering the prices are constantly increasing and the budget I assume is the same. So the 25 min idea was great. Plus you get the green/enviromental check too. A win win situation.

But I really thought the laser show wasnt IN the fireworks. To me it was acceptable if it was like an appetizer for the actual show. But i have doubts it will work inside the fireworks show. First of all it can be distracting, and the pace and emotion of the show may be broken and make it more chaotic . Ive been in montreal and when the show is not really great 30 min can be long enough to get bored, imagine if there are various cuts for a laser show ...


Still i think if the company knows how to use it it could work as a division between acts to let the smoke vanish and working as an intermission. But considering how many of the companies dont pay attention to the theme I dont think the laser show in the pyromusical wont be a good idea. I hope I m wrong but I dont see the vision.
