My interview with Pyrospectaculars — competing for their third time. They were quite coy and didn't want to give too much away!

What a coincidence with the first track being Crazy Train the same day Ozzy passed away. Its an amazing track to open a show and now its the perfect one.

Im curious about this show cause there are not so many cues, no use of the lake at all ( not even the pontoons) ... i dont know what to expect. As I said I feel this genre of music need a good amount of artifcts to go with the powerfull sound.

Cant wait to see what they cooked.

I'm also interested to see what they do with those 3200 cues. I did see a lot of candles being setup ... and I know many of the shells are fired in rows with time delays too. I also saw quite a few Ricasa one-shots, but it is a bit concerning about the supposed lack of use of the lake. However, maybe we will be surprised ... the team were not giving much away so maybe they weren't telling me everything. In their 2007 show the only nauticals were flares and strobes. Also in 2007, they had 5000 cues, which is more than twice as many as the winning display from Pains (which used 2400).

I'm interested, as well, to see how the laser segments play out. Pyrospectaculars were working with Ozzie Osbourne on his farewell tour and they mentioned how important the lasers were in those shows.

Oh the Pains show. What a gem! One of the best shows in the last 20 years. One day or another I have to open this can of worms and talk about who are gonne be in Montreal for the 40th edition. I think I will create a new thread one of these days.
