I dont think bottle rockets are allowed in Maryland(USA) but...

If they arent and I buy some say... off eBay or an internet site, will they be able to ship it or sell it to me? If they do will customs sieze it or what? Im really confused and me and a couple of friends really want some bottle rockets. Thanks lots

The American Pyrotechnics Association has copies of all state laws regarding fireworks. In Maryland, you're very much out of luck for anything more exciting than a sparkler. Buying from eBay is probably OK, but you will put the retailer at risk of prosecution if you do try and order on line.

Hi Paul. A couple of years ago the laws here in Maryland were liberalized to allow ground based fireworks excepting Baltimore city and 4 counties. Anything that leaves the ground, like bottle rockets, or explodes (firecrackers) remain officially illegal, however. In the real world this hasn't stopped about a fifth of the community where I live from having these things as witnessed by the events of New Year's eve. I'm a little dubious about helping out the new poster, so I think I won't.
