Comme le veut la tradition depuis 1999, La Ronde présentera un spectacle pyrotechnique le dimanche 31 août 2003 à 21h00. "Le feu des pyjamas" est présenté chaque année à la veille de la Fête du travail et il s'inscrit dans le cadre d'une journée promotionnelle visant une clientèle familiale, pour marquer la fin de l'été.

Habituellement, il s'agit d'un spectacle pyromusical d'une durée approximative de 15 minutes. À cette occasion, l'accès aux gradins est libre pour tous les visiteurs de La Ronde. La tenue de ce feu est confirmée puisqu'un annonceur de CITÉ Rock-Détente en a fait mention hier. Le site web de La Ronde donnera sans doute plus de détails au cours des prochains jours.

Par ailleurs, comme vous le savez peut-être, les artificiers participant au Mondial SAQ ne peuvent pas rapporter avec eux les pièces pyrotechniques non utilisées. Celles-ci demeurent la propriété de La Ronde qui doit alors en disposer. Au cours des dernières années, ces pièces étaient introduites dans "Le feu des pyjamas". Cela permet probablement à La Ronde de réduire les coûts associés à la production de cet événement, et nous permet de revoir des éléments de feux vus au cours de l'été...

Is there really a 15 minute display on the 31 of August called "Le Feu Des Pyjamas????" I never heard about it in recent years, but if you say so, Frederick.

So, La Ronde is presenting it.

That would be nice to see, a last little show to spark you up again, 15 minutes is still a decent time period, but not like 30 mins, but still, good enough.

I wonder if Paul and Enkil are aware of it......

Oui, il y aura vraiment un feu d'artifice le 31 août. Contrairement à une information ayant circulé dans ce forum il y a quelques temps au sujet d'un feu espagnol, il ne s'agit pas d'une blague.

Ce feu d'artifice s'appelle "Le feu des pyjamas" en raison de la promotion familiale en vigueur ce jour-là. Traditionnellement, les visiteurs qui se présentent à La Ronde habillés en pyjamas bénéficient d'un rabais de 50% sur une entrée-manèges. Cependant, je soupçonne que la plupart d'entre-eux vont ensuite à la salle de toilettes pour se changer et porter des vêtements plus réguliers pour une journée à La Ronde! D'autres activités pour enfants sont aussi organisées ce jour-là.

do u know if the bridge Jacque Cartier is close for the fireworks? is there actualy ppl who go up on the bridge during that night to watch them?

Ce feu d'artifice n'est pas présenté sous la bannière du Mondial SAQ. Il s'agit d'un spectacle de plus petite envergure (environ 15 minutes). Le pont Jacques-Cartier n'est pas fermé, la musique n'est pas diffusée à la radio et, malheureusement, Michel Lacroix n'est pas là pour le décompte!

Yes, it does somewhat ring a bell, that this display has happened in the past. I would love to see this and I will be honored to come for a last show for the summer, although it's only a 15 minutes duration. I guess a lot of people will attend. Will there be upcoming information for this soon, Frederick?

Oh yeah, what time will they be closing streets? Because I have to get on Lorimier, so I need some info on that, I figure earlier because the dispaly will start at 9:00 P.M instead of 10:00 P.M, so it will be different.

As for the bridge, Enkil, I'm not sure if it will be closed, but according to Frederick, it will not be. So, we should go a little earlier in case of anything. I might end up going to La Ronde as well.

Frederick, one more question, are they going to close off Lorimier and Notre-Dame main streets? If not, I'm going to La Ronde.

well if i went to La Ronde, i bet there will be alot of ppl, overloaded (spercially weekends arguh), plus i dont think i want to go 31 august

but my question is there actually alot of ppl who watch this? maybe less than the real fireworks but im wondering is there ppl on Jacque Cartier? all around La Ronde?

Il faut comprendre qu'il s'agit d'un spectacle pyrotechnique d'une envergure beaucoup moins grande que ceux présentés dans le cadre du Mondial SAQ. C'est un bon show, mais beaucoup plus modeste. Je ne pense pas que des rues soient fermées à Montréal pour cette occasion. Je ne crois pas que le spectacle attire beaucoup de gens à l'extérieur de La Ronde.

Regardless of population, I might still come.

I thought it would be much less than the Mondial SAQ in popularity, but who cares, it's still a display and at least we get to see one more show for the year, so I think we should make an effort to see it, but that's just me.

Anyway, Enkil, Frederick and Paul, are you guys going to go? I need your opinions before I make my decision.

i live in Laval, so i dunno if any1 here would sent me near to la ronde so i can watch
and if i take the metero, *if im alone there* im going to go up Jacque Cartier with all the cars, and they will say what the heck were doing here watching La Ronde.. u know what i mean? if at least there was ppl around La Ronde maybe we wont be the only ones there..

Well, I live in the West Island, so it's a good way to go. I'm going to try to encourage my family to go and see it.

I really actually want to see it, but I don't know if I can go to my usual spot to watch the display.
