I'd like to put my predictions here, but it would be unfair as I already know who some of the competitors will be. By the way, Sunny International are not from Hong Kong. Without giving too much away, there will be some surprises this year, for sure!

Hi Paul,

If that's the case, then my guess for the Hong Kong company would be solely limited to Pyromagic, whom of which delivered an extravagant performance in their last appearance in the competition.

It's curious about the surprises, however. I suspect that one of them, in particular, relates to a possible Canadian firm outside of Quebec while the other surprises may involve new firms that were not witnessed in the competition's history altogether, similar to last year, which may ultimately denouce most of our predictions. I also have an odd feeling about new attempts in the innovative creativity implementation sector, too. Other than that, Mexico's appearance is also quite a surprise on its own!

Regards,

Trav.

Hi Guys

My guess:
Spain: Antoni Caballer or Europla
England: Millenium or Jubilee
Mexico: Pirotecnia Internacional or Pirotecnia Reyes who was in Hull last year (a parente-member)
Hong kong - Glorius company
United States - Hard to say, but pahaps Pyrospectaculars or Grucci
Canada - Apogee (won Nuits de feu last year)
France - Feérie or Prestatech (both does very artistic shows)
Germany - Pyro Art or Flash Art

It's just guesses. But I don't think some of the predicted companies listed above will be in the competition 2007, because of thir recent participation.

We will see - exciting to see if a detour to Montreal is required next year

Merry christmas to everyone!

Lars

Anyone who's been in the reserved seats should be able to guess which Mexican company will be participating. That's the only clue I can give.

As for the others, the German possibilities are interesting since we could end up with a local designer once again. Those of you who keep track of such things will know who I mean.

For the US, I do know who it is, but am sworn to secrecy. Historically, Kimbolton compete every three years or so for the UK but there are rumours it is someone else (who has also been seen on site at La Ronde - but our friends from kimbolton were assisting last year anyway). It's a small community

All will be revealed soon enough

Paul.

p.s. Hope to see you, Lars, in Montreal in the summer!

Hi Lars,

I'm very happy to see your graceful presence once again on this forum, my friend. To be honest, I was wondering when we'd be hearing from you, but here you are at last. How have things been going with you?

Your prediction list is very diverse and ultimately has a distinctive selection range; a lot of those firms you mentioned are not entirely familiar to me at all, but thanks for the briefing. You may very well be on the right track given the variety of concealed information Paul is hinting to us.

In any case, Lars, a very merry Christmas to you, too, and, like Paul acknowledged, I also hope that you can make it next Summer to Montreal (I know I asked you that question last year).

And Paul,

Sounds like I have some research to do with regards to the actual list. I have a feeling I can deduce and guess some other possibilities, but I'd like to look around and garner some additional source information before making a newer list while ending up predicting in a stochastic fashion and going off on a tangent.

My guesses were solely limited to time interval/frequency of participation of respective/popular firms and thus using a process of elimination to coherently make predictions. However, given that you specified that there are indeed surprises, I'm ultimately guessing that a good portion of the firms are not entirely familiarized to most of us and therefore requires a little more thorough information.

All I can say is that I'm taking your hints close in mind.

Regards,

Trav.

Could we maybe see both Pyro Art and Flash Art??? Maybe one representing Germany and the other representing Hong Kong? There are ties to Glorious Fireworks (Hong Kong), according to one of their websites. And that would tie in to a local designer.

I really hope Mexico is Lux Pirotecnia, S.A. de C.V. They won the celebration of light this year in Vancouver. I was lucky enough to be in Vancouver to see their show and I really believe that they could pull off a Montreal style show.
